Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer, today we have a 2016 Honda Odyssey, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT four-pole wiring harness to tow trailers. This four-pole wiring harness is a great accessory to add to your Honda Odyssey. If you've already got a hitch receiver, I'd highly recommend adding a four-pole wiring harness, just in the odd chance that you may have to tow a trailer or if you're like the owner of this vehicle, they're wanting to pull a small camper. We're actually gonna be pairing this with our ETBC7L kit. That is a seven-pole kit with just the power wire run so that they can use the CURT Echo, plug it in, and they can tow their camper with it. Adding a four-pole wiring harness is going to essentially unleash your hitch, You're not only gonna be stuck with cargo carriers or bike racks in your hitch, you're gonna be able to pull trailers with it, so that you can safely get the lighting functions from your Honda Odyssey to the trailer to let others know what your intentions are on the road. more

Adding four-pole trailer wiring to your vehicle means that you're gonna be able to tow a trailer by giving the light sequence from the vehicle, from your four-pole, to the trailer, giving you running lights, turn signals and brake lights, letting the people behind you know what you're intending to do. So this is required if you do plan on pulling a trailer. And this one is actually pretty easy to do. There should be a factory plug that you're gonna plug into and then just pop a fuse into a fuse holder. Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Honda Accord- Video
Hey guys, Kevin at etrailer. It's family showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Connector four pole wiring harness here on our 2022 Honda Accord. A four pole wiring harness is one of the main components whenever you're trying to tow a trailer, a bike rack that has lights on it or a cargo carrier that's gonna have lights on it because that's what's going to allow you to transfer your running lights, your turn signals and your brake lights from your vehicle over to the trailer, so you can remain street legal. This particular wiring harness is powered by a ModuLite and what that means is that it's going to properly transfer the separate wiring signals that you have on your vehicle to the combined wiring that's gonna be on your trailer. And that basically means that it's gonna just transfer that separate braking and turning signals into one wire and properly do that for the trailer so that you remain legal and so that everybody can understand exactly what you're trying to do when you're going down the road. Typically, most four pole wiring harnesses are going to pull power from your tail lights. more

Hopkins 4-Pole Flat Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Installation - 2013 Honda Odyssey- Video
Hi there, Honda owners. Today on your 2013 Honda Odyssey we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Hopkins 4 Pole Flat Trailer Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness. It is designed to stay inside the vehicle when not in use, just down here in your compartment area. But when you are ready to use it, it will drape down over the back here, just make sure that you're avoiding the striker here at the middle, and when you shut your liftgate, it'll pinch it between the leather stripping, which won't cause any damage to it 'cause it'll hold it in place and allow you to be able to plug in your wiring. This is kind of the best case scenarios, keeping it inside the vehicle because it'll protect it from rust and corrosion when not in use. A lot of harnesses are routed to the outside and when they hang down here onto the bottom, even though they have a dust cap or something to protect 'em from rust and corrosion, it does still occur. more

So here we have our trailer wiring installed and the great part is you can't actually see it and you don't have to see it until you're ready to tow, the reason being is our plug is actually going to live inside the vehicle. Not only is that gonna keep it nice and clean and away from the elements, but it's also gonna just be out of sight and not be down here. It gives it a little bit cleaner look. So if you don't tow all the time, this is a great option because all you have to do when you wanna hook up to your trailer is simply drape this over the weatherstripping here, close your hatch, and hook up to your trailer. Now having a 4-pole trailer wiring on your vehicle is gonna be great when you do hook up to your trailer, because it'll give the light signals, not only for the running lights, but your left turn, your right turn, as well as your brake signal. more

One of the cool things about it is you can actually keep it stored inside your Honda whenever you're not using it and whenever you are ready to, it's super easy. So all you're going to have to do is open up your hatch, come to your storage compartment and it's going to live inside of here. So whenever you're ready to hook up, you can simply just drape this out and over your threshold, want to avoid the latch, if you can. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2021 Honda Odyssey- Video
Ola, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Kit for a 2021 Honda Odyssey. I'm also gonna walk you through the installation of it. Let's take a look at the wiring harness. Don't see it here, also, you won't see it here. And that's the glory of this wiring kit 'cause it's all tucked back in here, and whenever you need to hook up to a trailer, you will have your harness stored back here, and you can pull it out, drape this down, and you'll be ready to tow. When you drape it over, it's perfectly safe to put it on the weatherstripping and have it close on there, you're just gonna wanna make sure it's not on the actual latch itself as that could pinch and damage the wires. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Honda Odyssey- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the CURT T-Connector Trailer Wiring Harness here on our 2022 Honda Odyssey. So here's what our trailer wiring harness looks like installed. As you can see here, the trailer connector is actually gonna be draped out our rear hatch so we can easily plug in our trailer like so. And then when we're not using it, we can actually easily just store this back inside in the vehicle. Now, that's actually ideal for those of you who are not towing every day, because it's gonna make sure that we keep the trailer connector nice and protected, we don't have to worry about any water getting in there, corroding our circuits, and causing any lighting issues. So when we're not using it, we can just coil it up here, and just store it in one of our spare storage compartments, just like so. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Trailer Wiring Harness here on our 2022 Honda Odyssey. So this is what our trailer wiring harness looks like installed. So when we need to use it, we are gonna be draping it out of the hatch here. So we can easily just plug in our trailer connector. And I know this doesn't necessarily look the best driving down the road, but it's the most ideal for this setup here, because when we're not using it, you can see here it's gonna be stored inside the vehicle. Now, the reason this is important is chances are we're not gonna be towing everyday. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2021 Honda Passport, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT 7-way vehicle wiring harness. People use these Passports to do a little bit of everything, which does include some relatively heavy towing. You know it makes sense, the hitches available for them are very capable and these are really capable SUV. So people get out on the road a lot pulling around some heavy trailers. And those larger trailers are generally gonna have the 7-way round type connector. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2018 Honda Pilot- Video
How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today, on our 2018 Honda Pilot, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness with the seven-way connector. This is going to give your Pilot the capability to hook up to those larger trailers that typically use a seven-way plug as opposed to a four-pole plug. For example, like those boat trailers and tandem axle trailers. So with this in place, you'll be able to look up to them and still have the lights work matching the lighting signals on the back of the Pilot, keeping you safe and legal. Now one thing I did notice, that this kit is pretty well-built. more

Hi there adventures! Today on your 2021 Honda CRV, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install CURT's four-pole flat trailer connector vehicle wiring harness. And this is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. That's right, it's completely hidden inside of our vehicle. So when you're ready to tow, you'll want to open up the back so you can access your wiring. Having the wiring stored in the vehicle is going to extend the life of your connector because it's not going to be exposed to the elements. We can keep it stored in our rear storage compartment here. more
